Captain’s Corner,

Captain Dan has a U.S. Coast Guard Master License and has been fishing out of Port Manistee since 1987.

The Fire Plug is fully equipped with all of the latest electronics and safety equipment for your comfort and safety.

Fishing with us will guarantee a fun filled day with the excitement of catching huge fish that will fight to the end.

We welcome families, just the guys or just the girls! The ladies have caught some of Manistee’s largest fish. We also cater to executive parties and can arrange for extra boats to handle large fishing parties.

The full luxury cabin is great to conduct business in or the kids can take a break and watch a movie on our TV/VCR. It also has a 12-foot by 12-foot deck for fighting fish. This is especially nice so that everyone in your party can be a part of every catch.

We always promote as much participation as you are willing to try, if you have been out before and know the ropes you will be welcome to help set some lines. It’s all about having fun.

The Captain is also a retired Fire Chief with a lot of stories to share with all of those other fire fighters out there.
